In 2018, over 12,000 school students headed to Reculver from Early Years to Key Stage 4. Reculver’s diverse coastline is ideal for learning about longshore drift and coastal erosion. It’s also packed with a rich history. During the Second World War bouncing bombs were tested at Reculver; plus let’s not forget the rich history of the towers.
The Coastal Classroom is a great educational space located in the old Visitor’s Centre. It’s an ideal, secure, base for visiting schools. The classroom is adjacent to HatHats Coffee Company. The room is kitted out with projectors and super-fast broadband. There are also learning resources and coach parking bays available. It is the ideal setting for schools with pupils of any age to learn a diverse range of activities.
We have teamed up with Anna Outdoors to provide a number of bespoke learning activities within Reculver.
During school holidays the Coastal Classroom becomes a hive of activity. With a number of events for families and the wider community taking place. From slime making to pumpkin carving and the base for a number of Seashore Safari’s as well as bespoke Birthday Parties and other bookings.
Space can also be hired for community groups and other groups of visitors and hosts a monthly business networking group.
