There are 2 pay & display car parks in Reculver, the biggest is located at the end of Reculver Lane. If you put CT6 6SS into your Sat Nav, it will lead you to this car park. The car park has over 78 standard car parking spaces, 8 dedicated bays for camper vans and minibuses, as well as 2 dedicated coach bays.
This car park is classified as the Reculver Country Park Car Park. There is an additional smaller car park which is classified as the Reculver Towers car park. This second car park has a height restriction barrier and dedicated disabled bays.
Car parking currently costs £1 per hour for cars in both car parks, blue badge holders can have 3 hours of free parking. The car park charging period is from 08:30 – 21:00 every day (it is free outside these hours).
There is an ongoing consultation by Canterbury City Council to raise the parking charge to £1.10 per hour from April 2019. Read the consultation here.
Ringo currently operates in the Reculver Towers car park only and can be found using Ringo number 4781.
Coach and minibus parking permits can be booked with the Coastal Classroom or from HatHats Coffee Company within the Reculver Visitor Centre. Alternatively, call 01227 649 060.
Despite the spectacular storms early on Sunday morning hundreds of people still turned up for the educational walks from Anna Outdoors and cleaned the beach!
